Change the Registered Owner in a Second Hand Computer

While Installing Windows on your PC, you were asked for a name, that was stored as the Registered Owner(run WinVer to see this on your system). In case you have a second hand PC or there are other reasons you want to change that name, you should follow the steps bellow.

1. First of all find the regedit.exe from the C Drive (C:/PROGRAM FILES)
2. Now browse to 'HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\WindowsNT\CurrentVersion'.
3. You should now see both a 'RegisteredOwner' and 'RegisteredOrganization' value.
4. Double-click on them and change as you wish.

Disclaimer: Before doing any change to regedit, always create a System Restore Point to Avoid any data loss.
